Between 1980 and 1988, Mosser Glass made a series of small decorative plates matching their “sitting cat.” The plates are 3.5″ in diameter and have a raised image of the sitting cat figurine in the center. The edges are serrated and the plates have the words “MOSSER GLASS CAMBRIDGE OHIO” on the rim.
The plates were #155 in the Mosser catalog and made in a limited range of colors. Per Mosser’s records, the colors are:
- Milk
- Green Milk
- Peachblo
- Gold Crystal
- Crystal
- Chocolate
- Blue Milk
- Custard
- Cobalt Windfrost
- Royal Blue
- Spindrift (Aqua Windfrost)
- Red
- Royal Blue Windfrost
- Amber
There are some additional colors not on Mosser’s list:
- Emerald Green
- Teal
- Vaseline
Satin and carnival finishes are rarely seen, but they exist.
Prior to 2023, prices were running around $10-$40 per plate, however the popularity of the sitting cat figurines has since pulled the prices of the plates up with them. Expect to pay $20-$30 for crystal and $50 on up for other colors, with red and vaseline commanding the highest prices.
