A new Mosser Glass “Sitting Cat” figurine (#101), sold by Mosser themselves was released on July 2, 2025. Although several custom orders have been made since 2023, this release marks the first time since 2007 that this piece has been sold by Mosser on Mosser’s official site!
It also marks the first time this kitty was produced in Marigold – one of Mosser’s highly popular standard colors. While Marigold has been used for Mosser tableware and several figurines, including the Cat on a Basket salt and the Mosser Collie, the #101 cat was never before run in this color. It was posted for sale in limited qualtities with both a plain and a carnival finish.
Purchasing priority was being given to a Facebook collector’s group. Not that these collectors are “a bit passionate” about these figurines, but the scheduled release crashed the mosserglass.com server!
We hope this doesn’t discourage Mosser from releasing more of these kitties in the future, but they may want to consider a different release strategy if they are brave enough to do so again!
